European patchwork

Comenius  – European patchwork

Osrednja tema projekta bo medkulturni dialog. Projekt smo poimenovali European patchwork (krpanka sestavljena iz različnih koščkov, vzorčkov), saj Evropsko identiteto vidimo kot enoten okvir sicer različnih narodov.

V prvem letu projekta bomo najprej ugotovili koliko partnerji poznamo kulturo drug drugega in Evropsko unijo. V ta namen bodo učenci izvedli kviz, kateremu bodo na vseh šolah sledile predstavitve partnerskih držav in njihovih kultur. Sledilo bo likovno ustvarjanje predstavitve lastne kulturne dediščine, ki si jih bomo partnerji med seboj izmenjali.   V končni fazi bomo izdelali posterje, sestavljene iz likovnih del vseh partnerjev, torej nekakšno evropsko  sestavljenko.

V drugem letu bo raziskava usmerjena zlasti v proučevanje identitete mladih. Radi bi ugotovili razlike, ki so pogojene z različnim narodnim in kulturnim ozadjem ter na drugi strani elemente, ki so značilni za vse mladostnike v Evropi. Vrhunec projekta bo kulturni dogodek, sinhrono izveden  v vseh partnerskih šolah ob Dnevu Evrope 2010. Le ta bo posvečen kulturni pestrosti partnerskih narodov in sobivanju v Evropski uniji oziroma v Evropi.

PRESENTATION ON THE PROJECT

The conducting thread of the European Patchwork project is intercultural dialogue. European identity has been conceived as a collage of different cultures which should constitute a common – European frame; hence the name of the project. In the first part of the project, which is the quiz, the knowledge of the cultures of the partnership countries and European Union will be identified; the quiz will be followed by national presentations and an exhibition on partnership cultures which will be upgraded in the form of an artistic poster composed with ethnic heritage themes. Students in each partnership school will provide artwork which will be exchanged and incorporated into European patchwork.

The second year of the project will be dedicated to a research on young adolescents’ identity which will partly consist of national specifics as well as their similarities.

The peak of the project will be drama and musical shows performed on each partnership school on the occasion of Europe Day, 9th May 2010, dedicated entirely to the cultural diversity of the partnership nations and symbiosis in European Union.

By making communication among partners even friendlier, mini phrase-books in all partnership languages and English will be produced. Educational systems together with classroom and teaching practices will be compared. Project website and brochure will be created.
